Maya is a South Brooklyn resident who spent her formative years in the Republic of Georgia. She graduated from the Expeditionary Learning School for Community Leaders, where the school’s exceptional ELL and college preparation services fostered her passion for education access. As an ELL student and a first-generation college graduate in the U.S., she saw the immense value of these services while recognizing that many of her peers lacked access to the support that proved transformative for her.

Maya holds a double major in Anthropology and Philosophy from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She applies the lessons from her academic background to her professional philosophy of scaling workforce sustainability. Additionally, Maya is dedicated to community engagement and frequently travels outside of NYC to apply her social-scientific expertise in new environments.
